Supermarket would bring 160 jobs
Plans to build a new supermarket in Lytham St Annes were expected to be approved by councillors.

Lancashire-based Booths wants to build a large store on land off Haven Road, creating 160 jobs in the process.

It already has planning permission for a food store, but needed to re-apply to Fylde Council as the scheme is larger than the one which was approved.

If councillors approve the scheme at a meeting on Wednesday morning, it should be open by the summer of 2006.
