A council that has been severely criticised for weak financial management has appointed a new chief executive.
George Krawiec, 53, is to take over at North-East Lincolnshire Council which was described as "weak" in a report by the Audit Commission.
Mr Krawiec is currently in charge of the council at Southend-on-Sea.
North East Lincolnshire's previous chief executive, Jim Leivers, took early retirement in March.
Mr Krawiec went to school in York before studying law in Leicester and Leeds.
The leader of the Grimsby-based authority, Cllr Andrew De Freitas, said|: "George's is already a successful and nationally acknowledged chief executive.
