A crackdown on underage drinking in North East Lincolnshire is producing results, it is being claimed.
In April, trading standards officers sent 15-and 16-year olds into Grimsby shops to buy alcohol.
Three-quarters of the stores failed to check on the youngsters' ages and as a result some have had their licences taken away.
When purchases were carried out again last week, only a handful of shops were prepared to break the law.
Police say this is good progress and shows that licensees are waking up to the fact that they are likely to be caught if they serve under-18s with alcohol.
