A 44-year-old man has denied causing the death by dangerous driving of a toddler who was crushed to death by a car as he played on a beach.
Paul Cambray, of Great Preston Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight, also pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving, unlawful wounding and grievous bodily harm.
Two-year-old Maximillian Young, from west London, died at Yaverland Beach, Isle of Wight, on 24 July last year.
The case was adjourned for trial at a date to be set.
Mr Cambray was released on unconditional bail at the hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on Friday.
Maximillian and his parents were visiting Sandown from their home in Fulham at the time of his death.
A post-mortem examination found he suffered a fractured skull, a broken spine and massive internal injuries.
