Litter campaign targets smokers

The council spends £1m a year cleaning the city's streets

A new poster campaign in Gloucester warns the city's smokers that a dropped butt will lead to a £75 fine if they are caught.
The No Ifs - No Butts series of posters is part of an ongoing drive to stop people dropping rubbish on streets.
The council currently spends £1m a year clearing rubbish from the city and has increased fines from £50 to £75.
The no-tolerance approach comes after a period of informing the public about the cost of littering.
