A programme of wildlife events and courses for the visually impaired are being planned in Gloucestershire.
The Stroud Valleys Project (SVP) says it follows a successful trial with a group of people with macular disease.
They were taken on a nature walk along a stretch of the Stroudwater canal, to study its flora and fauna.
The SVP is planning a six-week wildlife course this spring and other events like a bat walk, swan feed and guided tour of Westonbirt Arboretum.
'Other senses'
Deb Coleman, community biodiversity projects officer, said: "It's using other senses, the bat walk uses detectors so they can pick up the sounds.
"Some of what we're doing may be to do with geology and archaeology - learning about the area and its wildlife."
Organisers are still trying to assess the demand for the course and are asking anyone interested to contact them.
