Two post offices are set to be reopened in Essex under a council scheme to revive closed branches.
Essex County Council said branches in Panfield Lane, Braintree, and The Egg Box, White Notley, will be reopened under the Essex Post Office scheme.
The move follows the reopening of post offices in Buckhurst Hill, Little Hanningbury and Henham.
Council leader Lord Hanningfield said he was "delighted" by the news and added the branches would reopen "soon".
'Heart of communities'
Buckhurst Hill post office was reopened in September last year, with Little Hanningbury and Henham following in December.
The Braintree and White Notley branches closed in early 2008 as part of a rationalisation by the Post Office.
Under the Essex Post Office scheme, the county council opens community information points in place of the branches and provides a grant for a post office to open within the centre.
Lord Hanningfield, the council's leader, said: "I am delighted that these two post offices will shortly be back operating, where they rightly belong, at the heart of their communities.
"Work is continuing at a pace now to reopen post offices across the county and I hope to be announcing even more soon."
