Rare falcon stolen in aviary raid
Peregrine Falcon
The missing peregrine falcon is worth £1,000
A rare bird worth £1,000 was stolen in an overnight raid on a private aviary.

The peregrine falcon was taken from a garden in Fall Drive, Witham, Essex, on Wednesday night.

The theft took place on the same night that four budgerigars and four cockateels worth a total of £160 were stolen from a garden in Witham.

Police said it was too early to say whether the raids were carried out by the same person but they were not ruling out a possible link.
