Ms Freeman wore the hat to protect her against the wintry weather

An 87-year-old woman was left shocked by staff at a Hampshire pub when she was asked to remove her hat so she could be seen by security cameras.
Annie Freeman wore her hand-crocheted hat when she went with her niece to The Goose, Aldershot, for an orange juice.
The Bournemouth great-grandmother said she thought staff were looking for people who had recently caused "a riot" but she was too old to cause trouble.
A pub spokesman said a barmaid had been keenly following security procedures.
The octogenarian said she had always worn a hat and had been wearing it to protect against the wintry weather.

Ms Freeman said: "[The barmaid] said they have these videos in the pub and they can't see my face.
"I just thought 'Who wants to look at my face?' so I took my hat off."
A spokeswoman for The Goose said: "It is our policy that all customers have to remove their headwear - it is for safety and security reasons so we can see their faces on the CCTV cameras.
"I am sorry about the case of this particular lady.
