Police in Plymouth are to start using new techniques and equipment to gather evidence in domestic violence cases as part of a new campaign.
Specialist officers will wear so-called headcams, pencil-sized cameras, to record whatever they are looking at.
They may provide evidence which could prevent victims having to go to court.
Two vehicles will also be deployed to incidents: an enforcement car and support car staffed by a member of Plymouth Women's Aid.
It is estimated that domestic violence victims are typically attacked 35 times before they call the police.
