The wind farm would help Devon reach its renewable energy targets

A proposal to build Devon's largest windfarm has been rejected after North Devon councillors decided it would spoil the local landscape.
They decided to back opponents of the scheme to build 22 turbines at Fullabrook Down in north Devon.
Devon Wind Power insist that the 110 metre high turbines would be suitable for the area.
Devon County Council have already rejected plan. The final decision will now be made by the government.
Richard Jerrard, from the Campaign Against Wind Turbines, said: "It'll absolutely devastate the whole of our heritage in north Devon.
"Nobody is against green energy at all - we all welcome it - but to devastate such a huge area of beautiful countryside is just incredible."
Don Alder, from Devon Wind Power, said: "We've had done a full appraisal of the landscape impact and we conclude the nature of the land up there and the way it's shaped and rises and falls is such that the impact will be acceptable in this particular area."
