Exhibition to highlight A38 work
Roadworks sign
Work starts on 19 September
Drivers who use the Devon expressway are to get the chance to find out about roadworks which are likely to cause major disruption this winter.

An exhibition is being put on at Buckfastleigh town hall on Friday to explain why the project is necessary.

A five-mile stretch of the A38 between Ashburton and Upper Dean, near Buckfastleigh, is being replaced in a scheme costing £8m.

Engineers say all four lanes of the road are in need of full replacement

Junction closures and contraflows are also going to be necessary.

The roadworks start on 19 September and are likely to last until Easter.
