Gay pride event comes to Derby
Derby's first gay pride event is being held in the city's Market Place throughout Saturday.

It is aimed at raising awareness about the area's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The event has been arranged by support organisations and Derbyshire Police. There will be information stalls and music on the day.

Adrian Piggott, chair of Derbyshire's Friend Support Service, said he hopes it will be the first of many.
