A campaign for people to shop drug dealers has been hailed a success.
Derbyshire Police say the Rat on a Rat initiative, which ran over the summer, has seen an increase in the number of drugs seized.
Drug-related calls to Crimestoppers rose during the course of this year's three-month scheme compared to 2003.
About £42,000 worth of drugs were seized in the past six months, an increase of £19,000 in the same period in 2003.
Deputy Chief Constable Alan Goodwin said: "Rat on a Rat is all about getting ordinary people to come forward with information that could help the police target drug dealing and it worked.
