A six month project to improve a Derbyshire town's sewers is to be extended by another three weeks.
Businesses and shoppers in Bakewell have been affected since Severn Trent Water started work in the town at the end of last September.
Engineers say unforeseen work to replace a stone culvert under Market Street means the disruption will not now end until mid-April.
Changes to roads and bus stops have been put back to 1 March.
Kate Cox from Severn Trent said: "Roadworks are inconvenient at any time of year but all we can do is try and make sure the work we do is safe and is done as safely as possible.
"We recognise it is inconvenient but there is simply no getting away from it, repairing these sewers cannot be done overnight."
