After three years of campaigning by householders, a Derby suburb has had its last road hump flattened.
People living in the Boulton area of the city have been fighting to get the humps removed shortly after they were put in.
It became a major issue at the last city council elections - leading to a change in the authority's leadership.
Anti-hump campaigners said they hoped the change would mean a fresh start for the area.
Mario Colello, a local taxi driver, said: "We are over the moon. It has been over three-and-a-half years of campaigning.
"The speed humps were very ill-thought out and it's a great victory not just for taxi drivers but everyone in the area.
"Now I think people can use the area in the way it was meant to be used and hopefully businesses will be able to thrive again."
