Mr Fieldhouse had denied breaking the lake speed limit

A waterskiing enthusiast has lost his appeal against a conviction for breaking the speed limit on Windermere.
Local businessman Nick Fieldhouse had been found guilty of exceeding the 10mph (16 km/h)limit in June, and fined £200 and ordered to pay £300 costs.
His appeal was rejected at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday, the fine upheld and further costs of £832 imposed.
The limit was introduced on England's largest natural lake last March by the Lake District National Park Authority.
Two lake wardens said they saw Mr Fieldhouse driving a powerboat towing another man at about 20mph (32km/h) in June last year.
He denied the charge, arguing that they had been more than two miles (3.2km) away and had failed to video the offence or use a laser speed gun.
