Airport expansion plan rejected
Plans for a permanent new passenger terminal building at Coventry Airport have been turned down by Warwick District Council.

About 400 people crowded into Leamington Town Hall to listen to a debate on the planning application which went on for almost seven hours.

Traffic, noise and pollution issues were given as reasons for the refusal.

The owners of the airport have already said they will appeal against the decision.

Budget airline Thomsonfly began passenger flights from the Baginton site in March from a temporary terminal.
