A multi-million pound plan to regenerate an area in Cornwall has moved a stage further.
Kerrier District Council agreed to submit a bid to the Living Landmarks Big Lottery Fund for £25m to rejuvenate the centre of Pool.
The Heartlands Project is intended to transform the area, with new parks, shops and cafes and affordable housing.
A mining heritage area centred on the South Crofty site will also be included in the bid.
It would involve renovating the semi-derelict Robinson's Shaft mine complex which is a Listed Grade II building and a proposed Schedules Ancient Monument.
