An excavation of a Roman settlement in Cornwall in the 1970s is the subject of a new book, launched on Friday.
The work at the site at Trethurgy, near the mid Cornwall town of St Austell uncovered new facts.
It revealed for the first time that people living in the county at the time of the Romans rejected many of the invaders' practices and beliefs.
The book has been written by Henrietta Quinnell and was launched at the Wheal Martyn Museum near St Austell.
