Last year, more than 150 children were killed or injured on the county's roads.

The Stopwatch Theatre Company is touring schools in Cornwall to show the dangers of playing on busy roads.

The show also raises issues including bullying, which can lead children to get involved in dangerous situations.

At each school, the performance will be followed by a series of workshops which will help students to develop ways of overcoming peer pressure.

It will also help them to understand the decisions they make, and realise how those decisions can affect other people.

Last year, 158 young people were killed or injured on Cornwall's roads.

The county council says it hopes the show and workshops will help to cut that number.

Road Safety Education Officer Kate Pordage said: "Workshops are a proven way of successfully getting an important message across to young people.
