A teenager jailed for two years for robbery has been called back to court and served with an Anti Social Behaviour Order (Asbo).
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is banned from "threatening, harassing, causing alarm or distress to any resident within the Bristol or South Gloucestershire area" upon his release.
The open-ended Asbo also bans him from entering any part of the Barton Hill area except for a prearranged appointment with his GP.
Bristol City Council, backed by the police, asked for the order.
Its lawyers argued that the teenager had breached the terms of an Acceptable Behaviour Contract signed in 2002.
It is believed that this is the first time a judge has agreed to recall a case to court after the original sentencing to reconsider his decision and add an Asbo.
