Several inmates are taking part in a roof-top protest at a prison in the West Midlands.
It is not known what sparked the protest at Featherstone Prison, near Wolverhampton, which started on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Home Office said trained negotiators had been sent to the scene. The protest is "peaceful" and under control, he added.
Featherstone Prison can house up to 615 category C prisoners.
