England goalkeeper coaches girls
An England footballer is coaching a selection of young goalkeepers from junior clubs in Lancashire on Thursday.

Everton women's keeper Rachel Brown will teach skills to the girls, aged 10 to 16, at Preston Sports Arena.

Brown, preparing for the 2005 European Women's Championship, said: "The focus of the day will be to improve the skills the keepers already possess."

The North West is hosting the tournament with England's opener at the City of Manchester Stadium on 5 June.

The day's coaching has been organised by Simon Gerrard, the women and girls football development officer for Lancashire.

He said: "I am delighted that Rachel has agreed to run the day's course and I am sure the girls will have a great experience. We were over-subscribed within a matter of days."
