Laura Sadler's life support machine was switched of

Ms Sadler, 22, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, suffered severe head injuries when she fell 40 foot from the balcony of boyfriend and fellow actor George Calil's west London apartment on 14 June.

She was taken to Charing Cross Hospital but was pronounced dead on Thursday 19 June after her life support machine was switched off.

West London coroner Alison Thompson heard the family had been told through a family liaison officer that Ms Sadler's body would be released for funeral arrangements to take place.

Police said the balcony from which Ms Sadler fell was very small with a low 26-inch perimeter brick wall surround.

Although its main purpose was for pot plants and flowers, Ms Sadler and Mr Calil, 30, who played her drug-dealing boyfriend Sean Hunt in the series, used it to sunbathe and watch sunsets.

The coroner adjourned the inquest pending further inquires.
