Police in Shropshire say there has been a good response to a national weapons amnesty.
About a dozen items have been handed in across the county since the initiative began on Monday.
They include a sawn-off rifle, a World War II bayonet, starter pistols, air rifles and an emergency flare.
Richard Ewels, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said he hopes a variety of different people will take advantage of the amnesty.
"For people who have old guns or guns they no longer use and could possibly be in a dangerous condition, it's an opportunity for them to hand them into police, who will destroy these items.
"The amnesty will be continuing for the rest of this month, no questions asked," he added.
