City revamp projects get £14m
A movable building is among five regeneration projects worth £14m given approval in Hull.

Almost £10m of the Government's single regeneration budget cash will help a £10.9m expansion and building plan for Hull College.

Some £600,000 will go towards the £1.4m Centre for Quality in the Built Environment which will relocate around the Humber over 20 years.

Other projects will improve community safety, research a US-style Business Improvement District and help local construction firms become competitive in bidding for work in their area.

The cash is being administered by regeneration partnership Hull Cityventure.

Denise Anderton, acting general manager of Hull Cityventure, said: "This is a positive injection of funding for five very exciting projects in the city centre that will benefit both residents and visitors."
