Art lecturer Steve Elvidge spent the last month photographing graffiti in public toilets for his collection.

"I'm not sure if what I have done is art, but it is certainly interesting.

"Some of what you see of toilet walls is quite graphic... but people seem to take a lot of time drawing or writing it.

The exhibition is at Bar Seven

"It can range from just writing the name of a football team to being something quite elaborate."

Mr Elvidge took the photos in public bathrooms and pub toilets in Nottingham.

The photos have been put together in a mosaic of tiles and are being displayed at Bar Seven, in Nottingham.

"I would like to take things further and look at toilet graffiti in places other than Nottingham," Mr Elvidge said.

"And maybe next time I will take photos of graffiti from women's toilets as well."

The display is on until 2 March.
