Appeal after man injured on motorway
University Hospital, Aintree
Mr Wilson is being treated for serious head injuries
Police are appealing for help from drivers after a 39-year-old man was found injured on the motorway.

It is thought William Wilson was hit by a car while walking along the M57.

He was found between junction three at Huyton and the Kirkby exit at Junction four at about 0120 GMT on Sunday.

Mr Wilson, who is from Knowsley Village, is seriously ill in University Hospital, Aintree.

Police are urging anyone who has information about the accident to contact them.
