Areas affected by the right-to-buy change
Thatcher introduced the council house 'right to buy'
Council tenants' right-to-buy discounts are to be slashed in 42 areas of England, the government has announced.
Here is a list of the affected areas. London boroughs: Barnet, Bexley, Brent, Bromley, Camden, City of London, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Kingston-upon-Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Newham, Redbridge, Richmond-upon-Thames Southwark, Sutton, Tower Hamlets. Other areas: Christchurch, Dorset Chiltern, Bucks Epsom & Ewell, Surrey. Hart, Hants Oxford Reading, Berkshire Reigate & Banstead, Surrey Spelthorne, Berks Tonbridge & Malling, Kent Vale of White Horse, Oxfordshire Watford, Herts West Berkshire. |
