Boys charged over bingo hall fire

Nearly 100 firefighters were called to tackle the flames
Two teenagers have been charged with arson in connection with a fire at the old Roxy Bingo Hall in Leicester.

Almost 100 firefighters were called to the disused building on Fullhurst Avenue on 12 December last year.

The boys, aged 13 and 14, are due to appear at Leicester Youth Court on Wednesday.

The art deco building was opened as a cinema in the 1930s.

It was later used as a bingo hall and closed in March 2000.
