Pedestrian dies in car crash
Police tape
A pedestrian was killed when he was in an accident with a car on the A45 in Northamptonshire early on New Year's Day.

The 35-year-old man was in the lefthand lane of the eastbound carriageway at 0550 GMT when he was killed.

The accident happened , close to the A6 junction at Chowns Mill.

The man, who has not been named, was pronouced dead at the scene.

Northamptonshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have seen the man before the accident or the accident itself to call on 01604 700700.
