Police car
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward
Three people have been killed in a car crash in Cheshire.

Two men and a woman died in the accident in the Waverton area of Chester at about 1430 GMT on Tuesday.

One of the men and the woman were passengers in the Astra, the other man was a passenger in the Volvo.

The two drivers of the cars were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with minor injuries.

It is thought a Volvo collided with a Vauxhall Astra on the A41 outside the Black Dog pub.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers closed the road on Tuesday and motorists were being advised to avoid the area.
