Brian Allan maintains his car was legally parked when the tickets were issued.

But Milton Keynes Borough Council insist he was on double yellow lines and that further tickets will be issued if he continues to park illegally.

Mr Allan has parked outside his flat for three years without picking up a parking ticket.

He has been told that the two were issued in the past fortnight because his car's wheels were on the pavement, close to these double yellow lines.

Mr Allan says he is bitter about the £120 he has had to pay in fines.

"Everybody else parks in the same way.

"Nobody else got a parking ticket, and on two occasions I'm the only person get a parking ticket on both my cars."

In a statement the council said: "The yellow lines are there to protect residents from other motorists blocking their driveways.

"No-one else has complained. If Mr Allan continues to park where he shouldn't, we have no choice but to keep issuing him with parking tickets."
