Striking crews aid crash victims
Firefighters walking out
The walkout began at 0900 GMT on Friday
Striking firefighters left their picket line to attend a serious road accident in Wiltshire.

They joined one Green Goddess at the crash close to the Stratton station near Swindon.

A car had crossed the carriageway on Highworth Road, Swindon, and collided with another car and a lorry, injuring at least one person.

Pete Townsend, the station commander, said: "We attended within seconds. We gave the casualty oxygen, made the car safe and waited for the ambulance to arrive."

One Green Goddess crew and a breathing apparatus team attended.
