Navy ship on home strait
HMS Liverpool
The ship was built at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead
HMS Liverpool is returning home for a five day visit - the first time in more than two years.

The ship is docking in the city to coincide with Remembrance Sunday.

HMS Liverpool, a type 42 destroyer, underwent an extensive 18-month refit in Scotland earlier this year.

The ship, which was built at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead, is arriving in Liverpool on Friday.

About 30 members of the ship's company are to attend local Remembrance Day services.

The ship will also host a Royal Navy careers forum.
