They will feature ideas for improvements that can be put in place to make the road safer.

The exhibition will include display boards, and leaflets outlining some of the early plans to improve the road.

They will be on show in libraries, including Brampton in Cumbria and Hexham in Northumberland, and the public feedback will be passed to the Highways Agency.

The A69 is a busy link road connecting Tyneside to Cumbria and there are a number of towns along its route.

There have been frequent concerns about the safety levels, and Tynedale Council has called on the route to be made into dual carriageway.

At the end of November officials from the Highways Agency will visit each exhibition site and interview people who use the A69.

The scheme has a 10-year life span, and will medium term improvements which can be made to the road to make it safer.
