Plumed hats and family crests
The rich interior of Newstead Abbey holds hundreds of treasures of the Byron family.
The quilt in Lord Byron's bedroom has been specially washed to preserve it
Lord Byron was the hearthrob of his generation, but he spent so much money he had to sell the abbey in 1818
Dinnerware is on display as well as a replica of a helmet worn by Lord Byron, held by abbey manager Julie DeLong
The Byron family crests are featured on a mantel above the fireplace
Amongst the artwork are painted screens from Japan
