Plane overruns airport taxiway
Flights at the airport were delayed after the incident
An aircraft has run off the taxiway at Birmingham International Airport causing diversions for other flights.
The Britannia Airways 767 was carrying nine crew on a flight from Manchester. No one was injured but incoming flights have been re-directed to other airports and departures have been delayed. An airport spokesman said he did not expect those delays to be significant and passengers should check-in as normal. The incident occurred at about 1710 GMT on Tuesday. The plane landed safely and was taxiing when its nosewheel came off the tarmac. The airport spokesman said: "We are operating a reduced length runway. "The plane has been removed but there will be some delays because incoming flights have been diverted."
