Brewer sells 37 pubs
Greene King drinks
Greene King is based in Bury St Edmunds
Suffolk brewer Greene King is selling 37 of its pubs in a £6.7m deal.

The brewer, based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is selling the pubs to Punch, which is based in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

The tenanted and leased outlets are based in the south of England.

The deal will take the total number of pubs in the Punch group to 4,345.

Greene King owns more than 1,700 pubs

Giles Thorley, executive chairman of Punch Taverns, said the purchase would strengthen the group's position in a key area.
