Safety scheme for bypass
A12 near Kelvedon
New warning signs will be placed on the bypass
A scheme to cut the number of accidents on the A12 in Essex has been announced by the Highways Agency.

It follows a study, commissioned by the government, to find ways of preventing accidents on the Kelvedon Bypass.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said it will install new warning signs, indicating possible queues on the carriageway and sharp bends in the road.

Project manager Jamie Hassall said the entire stretch of the A12 is being scrutinised.
