Mrs Dearden was airlifted to hospital
A 69-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after getting trapped between her husband's car and another vehicle.

Police say Elsie Dearden was caught between his car and a parked car at 1350 BST on Thursday.

She was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital suffering from multiple injuries.

The incident took place outside the couple's house in Kingston Crescent, Helmshore, Lancashire.

Mrs Dearden's 72-year-old husband Thomas was treated for severe shock.

Lancashire Police are investigating the accident.
