Jim Booth amazed his doctors by recovering from cancer in his eye, lymph nodes, liver, gall bladder and bowel .

Mr Booth has undergone surgery and chemotherapy and now wants to raise money for cancer research.

He is planning to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief and the animals shelter where he works.

Mr Booth was first struck down by cancer two years ago, when his eye was affected.

He said: "After my eye, that was followed by cancer of the bowel. They removed that and shortly after that by cancer of the lymph nodes.

"Then there was six months of chemotherapy and then they found I had cancer of the liver as well.

"So they operated on that and when they were operating on that they found my gall bladder was infected and they took that out as well.

"The doctors think I'm a bit of a miracle, but I'm still surviving and still walking around."

Now Mr Booth is aiming to cycle the 1,000 miles between Land's End and John O'Groats in 15 days.
