Peter Pan boost for children's hospital
The 150th anniversary of the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital is being commemorated with a set of Peter Pan stamps.
They continue the 73-year relationship between the London hospital and JM Barrie's classic tale. The author was a governor at the hospital and left it the rights to the tale as a bequest in 1929. Great Ormond Street opened with just 10 beds on Valentine's Day 1852 and now cares for more than 100,000 sick children every year.
