In pictures: Best friends Holly and Jessica
At a service to pray for the families of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham, the vicar said images of the girls had been "etched on the minds" of everyone.
Rev Alban Jones said the "girls' happy, smiling faces had been displayed in just about every window in town"
The best friends went missing together on Sunday 4 August from near their Cambridgeshire homes
Family photographs of the 10-year-olds have provided constant reminders of the girls
This picture was taken on the day the girls went missing
As the police investigation continued more treasured pictures were released
The parents of the two girls made a series of appeals for the return of their daughters
But on Saturday 17 August two bodies were discovered; police later said they were the two girls
Special church services have been held to remember the girls
