Four injured in helicopter crash
BBC map locating the scene of the crash
A helicopter has crashed on take-off just a few miles from the scene of a fatal air accident a day earlier.

Three men and a woman suffered minor injuries when their helicopter crashed in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The accident happened less than 24 hours after two men were killed when their helicopter plunged into a field yards from the A46, in Hampton Magna, near Warwick.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the latest crash at the Heritage Motor Centre at around 1630 BST.

Cuts and bruises

The pilot and owner, a man from Harrow, London, and a woman and two men from south Warwickshire were taken to Warwick hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The four were later released with cuts and bruises and suffering from shock.

The female passenger of a car that was hit by debris from the crash was also treated at the scene for shock.

An investigation is being carried out after two men died when their helicopter crashed at about 1800 BST on Saturday.

Rescue workers

The pilot, a 24-year-old man from Buckinghamshire, and his 56-year-old passenger, from south Warwickshire, were killed when their two-seater helicopter crashed next to a service station on the A46.

The two-seater helicopter had taken off from Wellesbourne airfield, near Stratford-upon-Avon, a police spokeswoman said.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said the helicopter - a Robinson 22 - came down in a field behind a Little Chef restaurant.

An eyewitness said he saw the helicopter explode in the air before crashing into a field yards from the busy A46 dual carriageway.
