Court confiscates streaker's pants
The streaker is carried away by police
Brynn Reed ran naked near to the Queen's car
A former civil servant who streaked in front of the Queen has pledged to keep his clothes on in public - for 12 months at least.

Brynn Reed, 27, was given a 12-month conditional discharge by magistrates after admitting indecent exposure during the Queen's visit to Tyneside earlier this month.

Reed of Stormont Street, North Shields, pleaded guilty to one count of indecent exposure at Newcastle Magistrates' Court.

Speaking outside the court on Wednesday, he refused to rule out more streaks in the future.

Job loss

Magistrates confiscated Reed's Velcro-fastening trousers which he had adapted in readiness for his 7 May streak outside St Mary's Cathedral.

Reed said: "They confiscated my pants but I've still got my trainers though.

"I don't regret doing it and in a way I'm still glad I did.

"I got off pretty lightly and while I'm happy with the outcome I'm not happy about the consequences."

'Completely skint'

Reed - who had the words "Rude Britannia" written across his buttocks during his naked dash - lost his job in the wake of the streak.

He added: "I was really enjoying my job but now I'm completely skint.

"I suppose I'll just have to be a good boy for 12 months and, while I haven't ruled out streaking again, I definitely haven't got any plans to do it in the next 12 months."

Magistrates imposed the 12-month conditional discharge, ordered him to pay £55 costs and confiscated the specially-adapted trousers.
