Body found in alleyway
A murder hunt is under way in Greater Manchester after the body of a woman was found in an alleyway.

Police in Bolton were alerted at 0340 GMT on Sunday and attended the scene near Crawford Street in the Haulgh area of the town.

Officers sealed off the area and searched nearby for forensic evidence.

A Home Office pathologist was called in to carry out a post-mortem examination.

Teenage victim

Police have not identified the victim, who is believed to be a teenager, and are trying to trace her relatives.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The woman has not been formally identified but she is believed to be in her teens.

"The death is being treated as suspicious and we are appealing for information."
