Darling announces homeowner help

The Chancellor, Alistair Darling, has said he wants to reduce the number of repossessions in the UK.

In his Budget speech to Parliament he also announced a scheme to guarantee mortgage backed securities to boost lending and said the stamp duty holiday for homes over £175,000 would be extended.
