A stormy retail climate failed to dampen sales at John Lewis.

UK department store group John Lewis has weathered an uncertain Christmas trading climate with a healthy rise in like-for-like sales.
Non-food sales rose by 3.9% at its 26 department stores and online and catalogue businesses, John Lewis said.
"It was a welcome relief in what has been and clearly continues to be a challenging retail environment," said managing director Luke Mayhew.
Fashion sales were up 5.2% and sales of electrical/technology goods rose 5.7%.
Alongside its core operations, the partnership also operates the Waitrose supermarket chain.
